At the meeting, the Commission will discuss updates on legislation and rule changes, including but not limited to proposed changes to clarify clinical competency requirements for graduates of nonaccredited schools, changes to dental assistant registration requirements to include a minimum age, and clarification on the continuing education requirements for dentists who administer sedation. The Commission will also hear updates on the unofficial name change for the Commission, the Aesthetics Interagency Taskforce, and updates from the Central Regional Dental Testing Services annual meeting. Additionally, the Commission will review the active committee member list and discuss potential in-person meeting locations for 2025.
