The Department of Health will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 6 to discuss fee changes for several professions, including for dentists, dental assistants, EFDAs, and dental anesthesia assistants.
L&I recently completed rulemaking to increase worker protection from discrimination. To be consistent with these rule changes, L&I updated the required Job Safety and Health Law poster.
As of Oct. 27, 2022, several emergency proclamations related to health care will be rescinded, and as of Oct. 31, 2022, all remaining COVID-19 emergency proclamations and the state of emergency will come to an end. Some requirements from the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) and the Department of Health (DOH) will remain in place for health care settings.

WSDA encourages members to submit comments on the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Interstate Compact by Friday, Sept. 30. The Compact would allow dentists and dental hygienists licensed in one Compact member state to more easily obtain licensure in another Compact member state, creating reciprocity among participant states and reducing the barriers to licensure portability and employment.
