The Washington Oral Health Workforce Tracking Program (WOHW) at the University of Washington invites dental hygienists to share their dental workforce experiences. WSDA invites our members to encourage the hygienists in their offices to complete the survey.

Licensed dental hygienists will receive an email with an invitation to participate in an online survey sent to the email address used for licensing and registration with the Washington State Department of Health.

Check your email for an email from “wohw@uw.edu” with a link to participate! (If you don’t see the invitation, be sure to check your spam or junk folders.)

If you are currently licensed to work as a dental hygienist in the State of Washington and did not receive an email to participate, please email wohw@uw.edu to be added to the outreach list.

Examples of question topics include:

  • Current work characteristics, such as hours worked, location, and current duties
  • Work and educational history, such as years of experience, what type of program you attended, experience in any other dental or healthcare related occupations
  • Job satisfaction
  • Background and demographic characteristics

Your responses will be kept confidential by the University of Washington research team and will only be reported in aggregated form with other responses. Results from the survey will be shared in reports and presentations of findings.

About the Washington Oral Health Workforce (WOHW) Tracking Program

The University of Washington’s Washington Oral Health Workforce (WOHW) Tracking Program collects, analyzes, and disseminates relevant and objective information about Washington’s oral health workforce. The goal of WOHW is to provide relevant information about Washington’s oral health workforce that can be used to guide practice and policy to help ensure the state’s population has access to needed oral health care.

Your feedback is critical and confidential. Please be assured that survey data you provide to the University of Washington WOHW Tracking Program will be kept confidential. Your individual data will be reported only in aggregate form. Great care will be taken to ensure that no individual’s responses can be identified in reports.
