At the meeting, DQAC will hear an update on the dental anesthesia rules, review for approval an updated investigator infection control checklist, hear an update from the EFDA Committee on a rule modification for EFDAs on amalgam placement, hear an update from the Dental Collaboration Committee on the implant/pre-fabricated locator attachments and sleep apnea, and hear a licensure display update from the Educational Outreach Committee.
The Commission will also hear updates on the Prescription Monitoring Program and EHR integration mandate, along with an update on the E-prescribing mandate, receive information on a legal suit brought against the Oregon Board of Dentistry related to specialty representation, and note that the CR101 related to health equity continuing education was filed.
Finally, DQAC will hold rule hearings on proposed changes to the Dentist Continuing Education rule, the Dentist Retired Active Status rule, and the creation of a permanent rule allowing the delegation of administration of the COVID-19 vaccine to dental hygienists.
