Clarification on EIDL & PPP Loans
There are multiple SBA loan options available for employers. However, there has also been a lot of confusion recently about not being eligible for the new Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan if you already have an EIDL loan. This is incorrect. Small businesses can apply for both loans, but simply cannot use funds from the loans for the same purpose.
To find an eligible lender for the PPP loan, contact your bank to see if they are an SBA lender or click here to find lenders in your area.
As we await further guidance from the ADA on PPP loans, you may find the following resources helpful. As always, we encourage you to speak with your accountant and tax advisor.
