NPI Revalidation

For interpreter services for Medicaid clients to be covered by the HCA, you must have a valid NPI & be registered through HCA.
Please read the following message from the HCA:

Provider enrollment for continued Medicaid services

In order for interpreter services for Medicaid clients to be covered by the Health Care Authority (HCA), you must have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) and be registered through HCA. Your NPI is subject to revalidation every five (5) years and must be completed to continue to have your interpreter services and any other Medicaid-eligible service covered by HCA.

For revalidation, contact Provider Enrollment at providerenrollment@hca.wa.gov or 1-800-562-3022 extension 16137 (staffed hours are 7:30 a.m.-noon and 1-4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday).

Medicaid Transition to Managed Care Cancelled

The 2019 Legislature has directed the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) to continue to administer the dental Medicaid program through fee-for-service. The HCA may not proceed with a carved-out or carved-in managed care dental option at this time.
