Panel Discussion with Medicaid Contracted Providers, HCA & Managed Care Dental Plans

The Kitsap County Access to Baby & Child Dentistry (ABCD) program is sponsoring an open panel discussion with Medicaid contracted dental providers, Health Care Authority (HCA) and the three Medicaid Managed Care Dental Plans in Bremerton on Thursday, May 2.

On Thursday, May 2, the Kitsap County Access to Baby & Child Dentistry (ABCD) program will sponsor an open panel discussion with Medicaid contracted dental providers, Health Care Authority (HCA) and the three Medicaid Managed Care Dental Plans: Amerigroup/DentaQuest, Delta Dental/Dentegra, and MCNA.

Panel Discussion Registration
This panel discussion will allow Kitsap County Medicaid providers to:

  • Personally meet each Plan representative
  • Ask questions concerning them and their practices
  • Hear about the Enhanced Benefits from each plan
  • Review each Plan Fee schedule
  • Learn what is or isn't negotiable for each plan
  • Review the Plan billing processes for each plan
  • Explain the Plan contract processes for each plan
  • Learn about each Plan milestones

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) will also be able or answer questions regarding:

  • Provider expectation during the transition
  • Plan accountability
  • Clients wishes to change between plans on an ongoing basis and what that means for providers
  • Reimbursement during the transition period
  • Rate status
  • Provider ability to negotiate fees
  • Which clients will remain "fee for service" and which ones won't
  • HCA milestones for each Plan

Medicaid Transition to Managed Care Cancelled

The 2019 Legislature has directed the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) to continue to administer the dental Medicaid program through fee-for-service. The HCA may not proceed with a carved-out or carved-in managed care dental option at this time.
